Who is responsible

What we collect, and why
- Booking data — name, email, optional phone, travel dates, group details, pickup point and anything you write in the notes. Used solely to answer you and operate your tour. Legal basis: performance of a contract (KVKK art. 5, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- Email correspondence — kept for as long as needed to manage your booking and our legal obligations, then deleted in routine cleanups.
- Analytics data — anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics 4, collected only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Consent Mode v2 keeps all Google storage denied until then. Legal basis: consent.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Ever.
- We do not send marketing emails — replies to your enquiry are the only email you get.
- We do not load advertising trackers, social pixels or fingerprinting scripts.
The form, technically
Booking form submissions are delivered to our inbox via FormSubmit, a form-forwarding service, over encrypted connections; the fallback is your own email client. Form contents are not stored on this website — the site itself is static and has no database to breach.
Cookies
One functional item (your cookie choice, stored in your browser’s localStorage), one optional analytics cookie set only after consent, and — if you use the flag translation buttons — Google Translate’s "googtrans" cookie recording your language choice. Declining analytics disables nothing you can see.
Your rights
Under Türkiye’s KVKK and, where applicable, the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw analytics consent at any time (clear the site’s data in your browser, or simply decline on your next visit). Write to info@cappadociatoursbylocals.com and we will act within the statutory deadlines. Complaints lie to the Turkish KVKK authority or your local data protection regulator.
